Supported Playgroups

Our playgroups are funded under the Targeted Earlier Intervention Program.

The Children and Family Services, Supported Playgroups Programs are designed to create opportunities to build and strengthen children’s development, support families and promote community engagement, health and wellbeing.

Each playgroup is filled with fun activities, crafts, group play and provide a great opportunity for parents and carers to network and get to know the community agencies that offer services in the Glen Innes Severn region. Each playgroup is offered to children from birth through to 5 years of age.

Children and Family Services caters to the needs of our community through offering three different playgroups, these are;

• CAFS Supported Playgroup
• Wytaliba Playgroup
• Jarjums Aboriginal Playgroup

Playgroups are facilitated by a qualified Educator who creates an environment that builds essential knowledge, skills, and networks for children and families.

Please bring a hat and come and enjoy a fun-filled morning.

Supported Playgroup is offered;

Time: 9.30am to 11.30am

Who: For children aged 0 to 5 years

When: Every Tuesday (school term)

Where: Pool House, 185 West Ave, Glen Innes

The Wytaliba Playgroup is offered;

Time: 10 am to 12noon

When: Every Wednesday (during school term)

Where: Wytaliba Public School

Jarjums Aboriginal Playgroup is offered;

Time: 10:30am to 12.30pm

Who: For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families with Children aged 0- 5 years

When: Every Thursday (during school term)

Where: Pool House, 185 West Ave, Glen Innes
